Smith house was built in 1965-67. This house located in Darien, Connecticut, designed by Richard Meier. This was built on a half acres site overlooks of the long island of Connecticut coast. The project of Clyde Carpenter’s focuses on the addition of Smith house where the intention was to build for guests to relax. My main intention for the additional house was to focus on the design and materials used in Smith house so both houses can create a strong relationship to support each other in design language. The location I chose was directly to the coast where it located in the front of Smith house connecting others with

the bridge.
